Elliptic Piazza

The trompe l’oeil effect in this case, is obtained thanks to the treatment made on the surface, scratched away  by using the antique Acquaforte technique. This leaves the stone with its natural appearance on some parts, while hollowing and reducing the thickness of the stone in other parts. We have also introduced the colour white (typical of the lime-painted buildings of the Mediterranean architecture), where the story we wanted to evoke needed it. This has been done respecting the stone and the tradition, but taking the freedom to make the signs, techniques and stories  contemporary.
